Absolutely! We do not charge for estimates and even provide free in-home consultations where you can ask any questions you may have about siding and other home exterior services.
Vinyl siding will typically last for around 20 years, while fiber cement siding may last as long as 50. As siding nears the end of its lifespan, you may notice signs that it’s time to replace, including cracks, warping, pest infiltration, water damage, or increasing energy bills.
Fiber cement performs better than vinyl in the long run. Not only is it more durable and resistant to damage, but it also has a longer expected lifespan and even retains its color for longer. Fiber cement is also readily customizable, as James Hardie offers primed and pre painted siding options for homeowners with a specific color in mind.
In general, it’s cheaper in the short term to paint your home, but more cost-efficient in the long run to replace your siding. This depends on several factors, however, including the age of your existing siding, the quality of the paint you use, the new siding you may want to install on your home, and any warranties that may apply, among others.
